Ad Spec Information

We’ve created this expandable area to illustrate all of our different ad styles with demos and spec requirements. All creative and tracking links are required 5 business days for high impact units and 2 business days for standard units prior to launch. If UBM is designing/developing the unit, please allow 3 weeks for entire production process. If you have any additional questions, please contact your sales representative.

High Impact Units
  • Book Ends
    • Covers left and right sides of homepage. Your message remains fixed as users scroll up or down

    • Your ad is the first thing visitors see upon arriving at our sites
    • Served only one time per day to each visitor

    • Rich functionality unit expands allowing business technology buyers to see and interact with your content (whitepapers, video, case studies, etc.)
    • Appears within an rectangle ad unit
    • Users can click on offer to display multiple content assets
    • Dimensions: initial/collapse 300x600; expansion 613x460
  • Leaderboard Slider
    • Offers high-impact engagement in an impressively sized unit, allowing business technology buyers to interact with your content (whitepapers, video, case studies, etc.)
    • Appears within a leaderboard ad unit, expanding when the user clicks on it and sliding in from the right side of the screen to display your unique content
    • Social media links allow users to share content via email, Twitter and Facebook directly from within the ad unit
    • Dimensions: initial/collapsed 728x90; expansion 950x500
  • Sidekick
    • Offers high-impact engagement in an impressively sized unit, allowing business technology buyers to interact with your content (whitepapers, video, case studies, etc.)
    • Appears on right-side column within an rectangle ad unit, expanding when the user clicks on it and kicking in from the right side of the screen to display your unique content
    • Dimensions: initial/collapsed 300x250; expansion 850x700
  • Filmstrip
    • Delivers rich functionality that engages business technology professionals by effortlessly repackaging your existing content assets (whitepapers, video, case studies, etc.) into a unit that users can slide and interact with
    • Dimensions: 300x600 with a maximum of 5 windows or strips displaying your content
  • Pushdown
    • Leaderboard expands down to a larger unit featuring content assets (whitepapers, video, case studies, ect.)
    • Appears within leaderboard ad unit. User initiated expansion by rolling over the ad or clicking the open button, pushing down the site
    • Dimensions: initial/collapsed 728x90; expansion 728x300
  • IntelliCenter
    • Showcases your best content in a super-sized ad unit that serves as your very own site within a site and placed at the fingertips of our network's engaged business technology buyers
    • Utilizes rectangle ad unit with up to five navigational tabs of your choice
    • Dimensions: 300x600 with multiple tabs
  • Leaderboard Amplifier
    • Ad functions and acts as visual toolbar. Each tab reveals a different page of content, allowing business technology buyers to easily engage with your content within the unit
    • Appears within leaderboard ad unit. User initiates drop down by rolling over a tab. The ad unit expands downward to display the content offered within the tab
    • Dimensions: initial/collapsed 728x90; expansion 728x300 with multiple tabs
  • In-Banner Video

Digital Issues
  • 1/3 Vertical Page
    • Size: 1/3 col 600x1200 (4"x8") @ 72dpi
    • Formats with static ad: PDF (Press quality) or JPG (RGB)
    • Formats with animated ad: Flash Action script 3.0, must start on second frame, no loop limit. Must include native flash files. Animated ad must be into production minimum 6 working days prior to post date.
    • Video in ad: FLV recommended, max file size 50MB
    • Audio in ad: MP3 only
    • Linking URL: Up to 3, provided with creative, or embedded in pdf
  • Advertorial
    • Tailor created explicity to help you share your brand message in a more detailed manner

    • Video formats that the Application accepts are mp4, mpg, mpeg, mov, ogv, ogg, wmv, avi, flv
    • The converted FLV video file will be displayed on the Desktop and our system converts from FLV to MP4 file for view on Mobile
